. . . In this project for the City of Seattle, I designed stools from recycled driftwood logs, bike racks, way-finding signs, and bollards. Currently found at Alison St. (off Eastlake) and 1st Ave. S. under the bridge on both sides.
. . . Coffee filters were chosen for their versatility, ease of use, a reference to the old coffee shop and are very inexpensive. After the installation was taken down, the coffee filters were donated to the Fremont Parade Ice Queens project. In the summer of 2011 the Ice Queens used coffee filters as their main medium being inspired by my project. It was really wonderful to be able to give back to a project that inspired me.
